Flying high for the British Heart Foundation
On 11 August 2018, four daring members of the Fuel3D team – Karen, Chris, Phalene and Joanna – will throw themselves out of a jump plane at 10,000 feet. For the first 5,000ft they will freefall at around 120mph. Not for the faint hearted, this act of braveness couldn’t be a more fitting way to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
We’ve set ourselves an ambitious target to raise £4,000 for the BHF. Thanks to generous donations from colleagues and friends, our recent cake sale and auction, and all the hard work that Clare has put into organising the fundraiser, we’re already a quarter of the way to reaching our target.
This summer, George and Charlie will also go head-to-head with their Fuel3D teams in a sponsored Row the English Channel challenge using indoor rowing machines at our new offices on the Oxford Science Park. And for those who prefer to keep their feet firmly on the ground, we’re also organising a Table Football Tournament to help reach our target.
The British Heart Foundation funds around £100 million of life saving heart research every year and has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK. We’re delighted to be supporting a charity that touches so many lives. If you’d like to sponsor us, please visit our just giving page here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/fuel3d
