Fuel3D sets its sights on retail marketplace with the hire of Geometry’s Karl Turley
3D technology innovator Fuel3D® has hired retail marketing expert Karl Turley as Chief Marketing Officer to support its expansion in the retail marketplace.
Karl joins from award-winning agency Geometry Global where he was a Business Director and worked with international brands including Vodafone and Kimberly-Clark. He brings over 10 years’ consultancy experience to Fuel3D and will play a leading role in launching the company’s retail offerings which include custom eyewear and virtual try-on 3D solutions.
Fuel3D CEO George Thaw said: “We are very excited that Karl has joined our team as we prepare to bring our 3D technology platform to market in the retail sector, starting with eyewear.”

Born out of Oxford University in 2005 and focused on the application of 3D scanning technologies, Fuel3D’s platform is used in advanced healthcare, security and retail solutions. Fuel3D has achieved 3D technology firsts for its hand-held scanning applications and in-store mirror scanner. The company is moving to the Oxford Science Park this June, a world-renowned community for innovation, creativity and collaboration.
