Fuel3D wins at Oxfordshire Business awards

Fuel3D has won the Oxfordshire Business Awards (OXBA’s) Marketing Excellence Award and has also been recognised as a finalist for Innovation at OXBA’s 25th Award Ceremony.

Fuel3D won the Marketing Excellence Award for its ‘How does your face fit?’ branding campaign and competition at Goodwood Festival of Speed last summer which led to the development of its innovative 3D capture and fitting platform, FitsYou, with applications for eyewear and sleep apnoea.

Against stiff competition from Oxford’s tech and healthcare cluster, Fuel3D was recognised as a finalist in the Innovation award category for its BioVolume solution for monitoring subcutaneous tumour growth in pre-clinical cancer research.

George Thaw, Fuel3D’s CEO said: “It’s great to be recognised as leaders in creativity and innovation. Winning the Marketing Excellence Award and being an Innovation Award finalist  reflects our teams’ passion, consistent hard work and commitment to powering ideas of change and bringing ground-breaking 3D imaging solutions to market.”

“I’m delighted for the team that we won the Marketing Excellence Award. We started out with a relatively small campaign budget and a big idea which has had a huge impact in driving the development of our FitsYou platform for perfectly measured 3D fitting of glasses, sunglasses and sleep apnoea masks,”

added Fuel3D CMO, Karl Turley.

More than 500 business leaders and their staff attended the black tie dinner on Friday 14 June at Oxford Brookes University, hosted by impressionist Rory Bremner.

For 25 years, OXBA has been recognising, rewarding and promoting the excellence of Oxfordshire-based companies. Organised and supported by 14 of the county’s leading organisations, the Awards are firmly established as a benchmark for excellence in today’s competitive business environment.
